Stow-a-Thon: 24 hours of live music
The Rose & Crown plays host to the sixth-ever ‘Stow-a-Thon’, 24 hours of FREE live music on the May bank holiday, from Noon on Sunday, May 5th through to Noon on Monday, May 6th 2019.
This glorious bank holiday event is a sister event to the main Stow Festival, and this year we will be raising money and awareness for a local charity, yes, us, The Haven Network, the survivors of sexual and domestic abuse charity.
It all promises to be a fantastic sonic celebration and community day catering for all musical tastes. Music will be performed by everyone from 3-year-olds to rockers.
There are full bands, choirs, singer-songwriters, talented youngsters.
All the musicians are drawn from around Walthamstow.
Headlining is Tina T’s Soul & Funk jam. We also have The Higham Flyers, Waltham Forest Voices, Musical Youth Theatre, The East Lonesome Drifters, Anna Skodbo, Walthamstow Folk Club, plus many many more and it’s all started and finished off by the irrepressible Graham Larkbey.
Chris Casey, Chief Executive of The Haven Network said:
“We are delighted that Stow-a-Thon continues to grow and that provide the local community with a fantastic to be involved in such a creative and different event. We’re so excited at being involved. Getting community support for our Centre is another example of what is so good about Walthamstow.”
‘Stow-a-Thon’ is all FREE.
So come along to the friendly Rose and Crown pub on Hoe Street and enjoy the atmosphere.
